Terms of Use

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) are a legal agreement between you and the maker of In Step governing your use of the In Step iPhone app and related services (the “App”). By creating an account or using the App, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

License

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App on Apple devices you own or control, as permitted by the Apple Media Services Terms and the standard Apple Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the Apple Standard EULA). Where these Terms conflict with the Apple Standard EULA, the Apple Standard EULA controls for matters it covers.

Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum digital-consent age in your country) to use the App.

Your account

You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your sign-in secure. You may delete your account and associated data at any time from Settings → Delete Account.

User content — zero tolerance for objectionable content

In Step lets you and your buddy exchange messages, photos, and voice notes (“User Content”). You are solely responsible for the User Content you create and share.

There is zero tolerance for objectionable content or abusive behavior. You agree not to create, send, or share content that is unlawful, harassing, threatening, hateful, defamatory, sexually explicit, or otherwise objectionable, and not to harass, bully, impersonate, or abuse any other user.

You can report objectionable content or abusive users and block an abusive buddy (which ends your shared streak and removes them) from within the app. We may remove content and suspend or terminate the account of any user who violates these Terms, and we aim to review reports and act on them — including ejecting violators — promptly.

Health disclaimer

In Step reads your step count from Apple Health to track a shared streak. It is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice. Consult a healthcare professional before starting any new physical activity.

Subscriptions and purchases

In Step offers an optional auto-renewing subscription (In Step Plus) and optional one-time tips, processed by Apple. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period; manage or cancel in your Apple ID settings.

Disclaimers

The App is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, to the maximum extent permitted by law. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App.

Changes

We may update these Terms and will revise the date above. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
